Award wining Energy Star Bulb is shipping. Philips Ambient LED (TM) Dimmable 12.5W A19 LED light bulb has earn Energy Star (R) qualification and offers light quality comparable to that of traditional general incandescent 60W light bulb. A19 emits light in all directions and are commonly used in table and floor lamps, pendants, ceiling fixtures and general household light fixtures. Philips LED light bulbs are at least 80% more energy efficient than incandescent light bulbs. Philips LED light bulbs produce quality light without flicker. Philips LED light bulbs have at least 25,000 hours average operating life, which is 25 times longer operating life than incandescent and 2.5 times longer than fluorescent.

Interesting Insight Regarding LENR Research

The American Physical Society (APS) told Nobel laureate Julian Schwinger he would not be allowed to publish papers or even letters on cold fusion in APS journals, even though normally a Nobel laureate is allowed to publish anything he wishes. Schwinger resigned in protest, saying: The pressure for conformity is enormous. I have experienced it in editors’ rejection of submitted papers, based on venomous criticism of anonymous referees. We are crossing our fingers hoping that some of the nano versions will become a reality soon. This is a potentially huge market. I am personally looking for "real" more efficient solutions in this area. I have seen claims in the 70 percent efficiency range dating back to 2007, but no products yet.
