The US is making an effort to get back in the Solar Energy Race after the selling off of the US solar research department's patents at fire sale prices to the Japanese post Carter. US solar panel market share has diminished from 45% to 6% of global market. Can the Americans gear up? In the video below, the Governor of Vermont offers some interesting observations as to how he thinks his State has a chance to cut the sky rocketing costs of health care. he is also quite candid about his having been an advocate of nuclear power.  He  has the distinction of actually having lived  next to one. The US dollar has been the world oil currency years. In order to buy or sell oil between countries you had to convert it into US dollars to do so.  China, Russia and  others are now trading directly between each other bypassing conversion to the dollar..If one studies history, one will find there have been serious ramification when there is a change in what currency is the reserve currency.
