The first law of thermodynamics states...

Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.

We might do well to remember this when we are making policy, designing systems...

We are not creating energy, we are harvesting and rearranging it.

Lighting LED lighting is now the preferred lighting of choice for many applications. I have been involved with LED lighting for some time I have watched it's early migration into replacing pilot lamps on many pieces of equipment through it's incorporation in automobiles  then architectural and theatrical lighting then  automobiles and then to commercial lighting and now it's emergence as the lighting of choice for domestic lighting.
